Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
Plant City is a field-service workspace for plant-care professionals. This policy explains what information Plant City collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: your workspace data exists to run your route, we don’t sell it, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Information you provide
- Account details. Your email address, used for password-free sign-in links and account notices.
- Business profile. Your business name, operator name, reply email, phone, timezone, report tagline, and brand color—shown on the service reports you send.
- Workspace records. The customers, service sites, addresses, contact details, arrival notes, plants, photos, visit history, and care notes you enter to run your route.
Your customers’ information
You may enter contact details for your own customers (for example, a site contact’s name and email) so Plant City can address and deliver service reports on your behalf. You control this data: you are responsible for having permission to store it and to send reports to those addresses, and you can edit or remove it at any time from your workspace.
How information is used
Workspace data is used only to provide the service: showing your route, recording care, generating service reports, and delivering the reports you choose to send. Plant City does not sell personal information and does not use your workspace data for advertising.
Service providers
Plant City runs on a small set of infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage for your workspace, protected by per-account access rules.
- Stripe — subscription billing. Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and never touch Plant City’s servers.
- Resend — delivers the service-report emails you explicitly send to a customer.
- Pl@ntNet — on the Solo AI plan, a plant photo is sent for species identification only when you request an identification. You review and confirm every suggestion.
- Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly, cookie-free page analytics.
Public report links
When you complete a visit, Plant City creates a read-only service report at an unguessable link so your customer can view it without an account. Anyone who has the link can view that single report. You control who receives the link; reports are never listed publicly or indexed intentionally.
Cookies and browser storage
Plant City uses browser storage to keep you signed in between visits. The demo experience (when you try the interface without an account) is stored only in your own browser and never leaves your device.
Retention and deletion
Workspace data is retained while your account is active so your service history stays intact. Archiving a site or plant preserves its history without keeping it on your active route. To delete your account and its data, contact us at the address below and we will remove it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and workspace records are isolated per account with row-level access rules. No system is perfectly secure, but access to your data is limited to what is needed to operate the service.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date above will be updated. Questions or deletion requests: hello@plantcity.app.
